Yes yes, Senator McCain, you’re an American hero. And yes, you’ve suffered greatly for that, but seriously. Enough already with the prisoner of war story. Do you realize that you bring it up nearly every single day, in one way or another? We’re sick and tired of it, and we want to hear a much different story from you.
That was a long time ago, Senator McCain. We don’t really care about what happened way back then, because it doesn’t have any relationship to what’s going on today. You just keep harping on it, but you don’t tell us what it is that you’ve learned from it that will make you a better President. Or why it might be relevant to today’s issues. We don’t see any of that, and its something that we’d like to know.
Yes, we’re aware that being in a prison camp is pretty brutal, and there are a lot of mental and physical things that you have to get through. But what of these things actually entitles you to be President? How does being in a camp relate to running this country? You weren’t running the camp, and you weren’t in charge of anything. Are you saying that if you’ re President, the hardship you suffered will make you a better Chief Executive? How does that one experience relate to the problems we have today like: Oil, Education, Health Care, the falling Dollar. Will our problems be a mental and physical hardship? Is that the connection, Senator McCain? Being in a prison camp might be one thing – but it isn’t a reason to vote for you for President.
Sure, your experiences in the military might make you a good candidate for Secretary of Defense. You know how war works, and you know how the Department of Defense works. But I don’t think we want a President who’s single biggest life experience occurred in a small country in Southeast Asia. Let’s hear you talk about the things that you’ve done beyond the military and war.
Let’s talk about what the next four years are going to be like – if you get elected. Stop talking about the last 40, we don’t care. Let’s talk about the next 40. We don’t want to hear about what happened to you back then because it isn’t relevant. Give us some reasons why you would be better for us Now. Don’t give us the same old same old.
With all due respect, we’re not voting for the the best Prisoner of War, we’re voting for the best President.

"......the only people McCAIN can count on to vote for him are the very Republicans he despises --those of us who can get drunk enough on Election Day to pull the lever for him. We should organize parties around the country where Republicans can get drunk so they can vote for McCain...." ann coulter

Give me a break! McCain is a war hero and a great American who loves his country. His experience made him the great leader he is today. I’d like to see if Obama could stand prison for 4 years.
